Welcome to the Breakthrough Energy Fellows Innovator/Explorer application for Cohort 6! 

Typically, applicants have raised less than $2M of dilutive investment (including equity, notes, and SAFEs) prior to the September 2026 program start. Each technology must have the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, at scale, by at least 500 million tons per year.

Innovator Application Process:

Concept Paper – Technology proposal and pitch deck

Full Application (for selected Concept Papers) – Further detail on the technology, business model, and impact of the solution (Invitations sent late 2025/early 2026)

Deep Dive Interview (for selected Full Applications) – Interviews to better understand technology and meet the teams (Early-Mid 2026)

Explorer Application Process:

Full Application/Interview (invite only) – Rolling basis depending on Breakthrough Energy priorities
